Love, loss, and family drama collide in a coming-of-age story about a twenty-something trying to find herself.

A Certain Kind of Sadness has the quiet longing, emotional intimacy and self-doubt of Normal People. Mixed with the moody landscape of the Yorkshire moors and passionate havoc of Wuthering Heights. Rachel Wharton throws herself onto a messy rollercoaster while navigating a controlling mother, a complicated age-gap romance, and the fight to find her own identity. Part family saga, part coming-of-age story, it is a tale of flawed characters steering love and life's chaos. I loved wrting Rachel and Morgan's story. I shred a few tears at the end, not wanting to let them go, so I wrote book 2 in the series.
